If water is continuously poured into the kiln after it is thoroughly burned, the water will soon become steam to prevent the flow of air, forming an anoxic environment in the kiln, and the Fe2O3 in the basin will be reduced to FeO. Since the FeO is green gray, the basin will be green gray. The black basin is superior to the red basin in terms of oxidation resistance, hydration, atmospheric erosion, etc. It is also more solid, alkali resistance and durability. However, due to the troublesome operation, there are fewer and fewer black pots.
