There are various ways to adjust the light in family flower raising, which can be carried out according to the requirements of the flowers for light.
1. Arrange the placement of potted flowers reasonably. Tall sunshine loving flowers, such as rubber trees, oleander, cycads, osmanthus, pomegranates, figs, etc., can be placed on the balcony, in front of windows facing south and west, and other bright places to receive strong sunlight. You can put some shade loving flowers under these big plants, such as azalea, camellia, etc. Some small sun loving flowers, such as potted rose, pomegranate, jasmine, Milan, plum, etc., can be placed in front of tall flowers.
2. Shading: In midsummer, put shady flowers under shade or trees to avoid direct sunlight. Some shade loving and drought resistant plants, such as Begonia, Jatropha curcas, and the upside down golden bell, should be cultivated in an environment with high air humidity and leeward shelter, in addition to proper shading.
3. Adjust the light period, that is, adjust the length of light. There are two main methods, one is to add light, the other is to block light. At present, lighting is mainly used. The lighting intensity and hours can be different according to different flower types. Shortening sunlight is mainly for shading. A small number of flowers can be made into different shaped covers with black plastic cloth or other black objects to cover the flowers that need shading.
According to the needs of each plant, shade for a certain number of hours every day without interruption. According to the experiment, if poinsettia flowers on the National Day, it needs to start shading in the first ten days of August, with 8-10 hours of sunshine every day. Single petal species need to be shielded for 45-55 days, and double petal species need to be shielded for 50-65 days. The flowering period of chrysanthemums is controlled by shortening the sunshine. The method is: only give chrysanthemums 10 hours of sunshine every day, and cover the rest of the time with black plastic cloth. In this way, the buds can appear after 21 to 25 days, and there are slight differences between different varieties.
